Committees

Interested in shaping the future goals, events, and look of the Society?

Do you have ideas for member discounts, the Student Festival, our website, or something else? Share your vision and skills—we need your voice!

We value that all of you bring different abilities and interests, and we’d love to involve you in whatever way makes the best fit! So if one or more of those Committees sounds of interest, please get in touch with the chairs below to learn more.

Each Committee meets as-needed, 3-4 times per year, and often more if related to a specific event. All current members are welcome to join.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.

This is YOUR society as much as it is any other member’s. We are all in this TOGETHER.

The Board is not here to have all the answers of what to do, and honestly, we can’t. Those of us on the Board have been elected to serve in these capacities—and we need your support, your ideas, and your vision to keep us going.

What do YOU want to see us do? What would you like to make happen? We encourage you to get involved!

Each and every member is as much the face and representation of the Society as anyone else. There is no singular leader here, so: what do you want YOUR Shakespeare Society to be and do in 2022?

Become a member of the Society!

Join the SDSS today and immediately receive exclusive access to:

  • • Discounts, special events, and more!
  • • We partner with local theatres (like The Old Globe, New Match Collective, Shakespeare in the Vines) to offer savings on tickets!
  • • Members receive discounts to our events!
  • • We even offer occasional paid opportunities to act, direct, and produce!
