Kevin Manley has been an indispensable volunteer in promoting the mission of the San Diego Shakespeare Society to make Shakespeare accessible and relevant. Since 2020, he has cheerfully served as our Open Readings Coordinator, in which role he thoughtfully arranges the schedule of monthly plays where anyone can show up and recite their hearts out in character. Further, he always succeeds in engaging knowledgeable and experienced directors to guide the open readings by assigning parts and leading insightful discussions. As a result, we owe Kevin immeasurably as our most public face. Kevin has also contributed to the Society’s mission by frequently performing in our collaborations with the San Diego Museum of Art and in our Mock Trial project. All this Kevin achieves while also a full-time math teacher who even finds time to assist students in theatre production, including several winners of the annual Student Shakespeare Festival sponsored by the Society.
