Vanguard Theatre: Julius Caesar Auditions

Vanguard is seeking 12-13 non-union actors to fill all roles in William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar directed by Thomas Haine, and running two weekends October 1-3, and October 8-10, 2021 starting at 6:00 pm in the outdoor amphitheater at Westminster Theatre 3598 Talbot Street, Point Loma, 92106

Auditions: July 25, 2021 at 6:00 pm, and July 26, 2021 at 4:00 pm
Location: Westminster Theatre and Amphitheater, 3598 Talbot Street, Point Loma 92106

Please prepare a 1-minute monologue. Bring a hard copy of your headshot and resume to the audition. Let us know about potential conflicts from August through performance dates

Rehearsals will begin August 1^st.  Rehearsals Mon, Tues. Weds from 6:30 pm-9:00. Some Saturday afternoons in amphitheater

Casting will be Gender Blind/Ages 20-70

The production will have a modern setting, emphasizing the underlying political nature of the play and the perceived conflict between authoritarian and democratic principles.  Run time will be less than 90 minutes with no intermission.
