Our current President Nathan Agin (also Director of Technology and Marketing), will be among the award recipients for his dedication to SDSS!

As fellow Board member Gordon Gidlund writes…

Nathan at the 2022 Shakespeare Birthday Celebration

Nathan Agin, a self-described agent of change, has been instrumental over the last four years in moving the San Diego Shakespeare Society forward as to our technology, social media and marketing, strategic planning, collaboration, and outreach. He has served as President, Vice President, and Treasurer and has specifically worked to ensure greater financial stability in the Society. He has developed better policies and procedures for its Board of Directors and has always strived to improve the health and diversity of the Board. All his contributions have been crucial to achieving the mission.

The San Diego Performing Arts League will host the event at the Bahia Resort and Hotel to recognize the crucial role that volunteers play. These honored volunteers, who contribute countless hours of their time to music, dance, and theatre companies throughout San Diego County, are necessary to making our arts community thrive. From doing office work to ushering, to helping create costumes, they assist wherever needed to help make our shows happen – all behind the scenes.

“Individuals representing over 40 arts companies will be honored for volunteering over 200,000 hours to the arts.”

The Star Awards will present Jay and Julie Sarno with the Standing Ovation Award, and Jennie Hamilton with the Pioneer Award.
