Our First Ever Online Open Reading

Posted April 4, 2020 by Shaxspear | Leave a Comment

Join us for our very FIRST virtual reading—and you’re invited, wherever you are!

April 7th at 5:30 pm PST

Click HERE at that date and time to join our Zoom reading!

The open readings began in 2011, and every month, we’ve met in-person to read the works of Shakespeare! We’ve had several meeting spots over the years, and most recently, we’ve been at the Coronado Public Library and the Barnes and Noble in Escondido.

As we all continue to “shelter-in-place”, we are transitioning our events in light of the physical distancing that’s taking place—and so, we bring you another virtual experiment—in collaboration with the Coronado Public Library—and hope that you’ll attend!

Led by Society Board member Nathan Agin, we’ll read comedic scenes from Shakespeare’s works, including selections from Much Ado About Nothing, The Taming of the Shrew, Twelfth Night, Love’s Labour’s Lost, and more!

You can attend to read, or just listen!

(You’ll need to have Zoom installed on your phone or computer.)
